Businessmen Panel announces 30 candidates for KCAA

KARACHI: The electoral battle for the Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) has officially begun. After six years, the Businessmen Panel has formally announced the names of its Office Bearers and Managing Committee candidates for the upcoming Annual General Elections 2025-26, scheduled to be held on September 27, 2025, at the KCAA Head Office.

The panel has fielded a total of 30 candidates including 12 Office Bearers and 18 Managing Committee members. The nominated Office Bearers are Yahya Muhammad (President), Zahid Bashir Chaudhry (General Secretary), Mahmood ul Hassan Awan (Senior Vice President), Adeel Anwar (Vice President), Faisal Ali (Vice President), Ghulam Mustafa Nazar (Vice President), Majid Ali Soomro (Vice President), Muhammad Javed (Vice President), Nauman ud Din (Vice President), Aamir Ahmed Butt (Joint Secretary), Zafar Iqbal (Information Secretary), and Aamir Mansha (Finance Secretary).

For the Managing Committee, the candidates include Abdullah Tahir, Aakash Ahmed, Akbar, Babar Shehzad Bhatti, Bilal Pervez, Ghulam Mustafa, Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, Jafar Soomro, Junaid Khalid, Khurram Zuberi, Mian Altaf Hussain Hali, Muhammad Ansar, Muhammad Fahad Arif, Muhammad Faizan Hanif, Muhammad Feroze, Muhammad Sajjad, Muhammad Shafi Mandia, and Nisar Ahmed.

During a ceremony held yesterday, leaders of the Businessmen Panel highlighted that their mission is not to oppose anyone but to continue their journey of service for the customs agents’ community. Speaking on the occasion, senior leader Iftikhar Sheikh (former office bearer of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry), along with other leaders including Naseem Yousuf, Inam Rehmani, and Qaseef Marwat, reiterated that the Businessmen Panel has always entered the field with a positive vision. They emphasized that the panel has consistently worked to highlight the community’s issues and has struggled relentlessly for their resolution.
