KARACHI: The District Central administration and police have decided to take strict action against illegal constructions. The decision was made in an important meeting chaired by Taha Saleem, Deputy Commissioner Central and Zeeshan Siddiqui, SSP Central, which was attended by assistant commissioners, SPs, DSPs, SHOs, Tauqeer Ahmed, and other senior officials.
A fresh town-wise report will be prepared to identify illegal constructions. "Ground Plus Three" buildings have no legal status and must be demolished immediately. Commercial buildings in residential areas will also not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against them, DC Central said.
After demolishing any building, a report should immediately be submitted to the Sub-Registrar so that the concerned building can be blacklisted, directed DC Central.
All SHOs should use their intelligence to ensure that no new illegal constructions take place. The participants of the meeting termed the joint efforts of the district administration and police as being in the public interest and said these actions will bring positive results, SSP Central said.
