WASHINGTON: A defining moment for Pakistan, in an unprecedented diplomatic move, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir became the first Chief of Army Staff in Pakistan’s history to hold a high-level meeting with a sitting US President at the White House.

On June 18, 2025, he undertook a solo diplomatic visit to Washington, DC, where he had lunch with President Donald Trump and held extensive discussions with the entire US cabinet.
