Governor Tessori visits Hussainabad Food Street

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori visited Hussainabad Food Street. Governor said that purpose of going in public is to make him aware of problems, in this regard I feel proud of title of public governor. He said that iftar will continue in Governor’s House all days of Ramadhan as people are worried about inflation.
I will go to Food Street every day to meet people because I really want to meet people. There is no law and order problem in city. He said that Savings Expo will be held from March 28 to April 2 at Expo Centre. People present said that they are happy to have Governor in atmosphere of suffocation and tension.
Meanwhile, Governor said that due to severe inflation, white-clad family has been badly affected. In this context, powers of price control inspectors should also be given to administrators. Addressing press conference at Governor House he said that while general class is affected by inflation, conditions of government employees have also worsened, so I am writing letter to Chief Minister to increase salaries of employees by 30 to 35 percent. Similarly, in next budget, at least I am also suggesting to make minimum wage 50 thousand rupees. He said that all stakeholders have objections to committee set up with reference to regularisation of goths, in this regard, he has written letter to Chief Minister asking him to reconsider matter. He said that efforts to prevent inflation and to ensure essential commodities at fixed prices is need of hour.
Moreover, delegation of Nizami Health and Education Welfare Organisation met Governor. 8-member delegation was headed by Chairman Dr. S. Mehboob Hasan Nizami. In meeting, role of social organization, sponsorship of deserving people, welfare and other issues were discussed. Mehboob informed Governor about aims and objectives of organisation. Governor said that social organisations are arm of government, services of social organisations in difficult times are commendable.
