JBS acquires majority stakes in Silicon-Valley based Impare

Karachi: Jaffer Business Systems (JBS), system integrator based in MENAP region announced strategic acquisition of Silicon Valley based start-up, ‘Imparé’, specialising in chip verification. This acquisition is first time JBS has made start-up investment outside of Pakistan, right in tech hub of world that is Silicon Valley putting them at forefront of chip verification industry in country.

JBS CEO Veqar Ul Islam said, “I am absolutely delighted with acquisition of Imparé. Our strategy of start-up acquisition resonates around our “Purpose” to facilitate broader, stronger, entrepreneurial network in country which is futuristic, innovative and blends well with new ways of driving our economy.”

Chip verification market is expected to grow up to $ 16 billion in next five years, making it highly in-demand and short-skilled industry worldwide. Imparé was founded with goal of creating verification centre of excellence in Pakistan and training local students to work with top US companies to meet growing demand for verification engineers.

Imparé founder Faisal Haque added, “Silicon market is set to double in next eight years and demand for verification engineers is high.”
