Maryam Nawaz, Sanaullah tasked to lead upcoming elections drive in Punjab

LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders Maryam Nawaz and Rana Sanaullah have been tasked with leading rallies and meetings ahead of upcoming general election in Punjab.

A meeting between PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, senior Vice-President and Chief Organiser Maryam and Interior Minister Sanaullah took place in London.

During meeting, PML-N Chief instructed two senior members of party regarding their roles in political endeavours of party in months leading up to general elections in province. Nawaz assigned tasks related to Punjab’s politics to Sanaullah and also instructed Interior Minister to mobilise party workers in province for upcoming elections.

At meeting, party seniors consulted on appointments of leadership in Punjab and on inter-party elections. PML-N supremo said that people should be told “Truth” and that “False narrative” of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan should be exposed.

San is set to return to country on January 28 same day as Maryam. Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that there had been changes in plans for Maryam’s return. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “There has been change in time of Maryam Nawaz’s return home. Maryam Nawaz will now reach Lahore on January 28.”
