Pakistan full of investment opportunities, PM Shehbaz tells CEO Reqo Diq Co

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met delegation of Reko Diq Mining Company and assured that government was taking every possible step to facilitate foreign investors.

He expressed these remarks while talking to delegation of Reqo Dik Mining Company, headed by its Chief Executive Officer Mark Bristow who called on him here.

PM Shehbaz said Pakistan has immense investment opportunities in mining, information technology, energy, and communication and infrastructure sectors. Prime Minister said Reqo Dik project will be game changer for Balochistan that will usher new era of development in province.

He directed to establish project support team for implementation of Reqo Dik project. He was briefed that seventy percent of workers in Reqo Dik project belongs to Balochistan.

It was further informed that school has been set up by Reqo Dik Company in cooperation with Community Development Committee of area. Along with this, steps will be taken to provide vocational and higher education to youth of area so that they can find employment opportunities.

In briefing, it was informed that work is in progress regarding provision of clean drinking water and health facilities in area. It was also informed that alternative energy is being used in project. PM appreciated ongoing work of Reqo Dik Mining Company regarding corporate social responsibility and also encouraged company to work together with government in establishing Danish Schools in Balochistan.
