Parvez Elahi apologises to Fawad’s brother over diatribe
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi apologised to family of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry for his hurtful statement over his arrest.
On Thursday, Elahi in veil words cheered arrest of Chaudhry, who was taken into custody for threatening remarks against officials of electoral body earlier this week, at an event here. Without naming anyone, he remarked things would have been better had arrest been made earlier.
An audio conversation purportedly between former CM and an unidentified person also emerged yesterday wherein former could be heard abusing Fawad Chaudhry for advocating dissolution of Punjab Assembly. Soon after his comments, PML-Q leader felt regret as he shared tweet to express apology for what he said against PTI bigwig. Now, he phoned Fawad Chaudhry’s brother Faisal Fareed to say, “sorry” for hurting sentiments of his family. He also condemned arrest of PTI leader in fake case.
He expressed solidarity with family of Fawad Chaudhry. In reply, Fareed appreciated big heartedness of former CM, saying, “You are our elder and we see you as respectable person”.
