KARACHI: The affairs of the Registrar Cooperative Societies, Sindh are going from bad to worse with every passing day. Tufail Suteria, Chairman, Federation of Ismailia Cooperative Societies Ltd Karachi has been a target who served a legal notice against Registrar and Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies, Sindh many months back with reference to their order No.RCS/KYC/284/2024 dated 27 February 2024.

This was regarding Pak Fidai General Cooperative Society Limited Karachi; Tufail Suteria expressing his surprise to know he was mentioned in this Order that he was running the affairs of the said Society. Through this legal notice it was disclosed by him that he was never a member or Director nor have been on any post of the Pak Fidai General Cooperative Society Limited Karachi.  

However, according to Tufail Suteria vide above referred Order dated 27 February 2024 without any proof but with malafide intention they had attempted to defame him in the eyes of the members of his Community in particular and in the eyes of public in general. Therefore, through his Legal Notice both were directed to withdraw their above mentioned Order against Tufail Suteria and restrain themselves from passing illegal orders.
 
According to details Jehanzeb Baloch, Administrator, Pak Fidai General 
Cooperative Society Ltd Karachi in his reminder No. ADMIN/PFGCS/ 06/2024 dated: 03-07-2024 addressed to Tufail Suteria informed him that it was come to his knowledge through Staff of subject society that the Keys of Lockers of society were lying in the custody of Mr. Tufail, Chairman of Federation of Ismailia Cooperative Societies Ltd Karachi.

Therefore he was directed to Hand over Keys of Lockers and detailed report in respect of transactions of Loan settlements done in his tenure from 2018 to till date and cash in hand Rs.399,600/-. A number of members were suffering due to his non cooperative conduct so that do needful in this regard, which pave the way to remove the grievances of members and affairs of society can be controlled in proper and smooth manner, his letter added.

Furthermore, Tufail Suteria was directed to submit a report in respect of Eight (08) split ACs of I ton sold out during said tenure and in which capacity various committees had been constituted for the purpose of recovery during 2018 to date, the Administrator concluded.
