Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb while terming floods situation in country a national emergency said national spirit will have to be demonstrated to cope with massive destruction caused by floods in Sindh and Balochistan.  “Donations are needed from entire nation particularly from overseas Pakistanis to provide assistance to flood victims, she said this in a statement issued here. 

A big amount will be required due to large scale devastation caused by floods, she added.  She underlined that resources are being mobilised while we are facing difficulties in relief works due to heavy rains and flash floods. Process of rescue and relief can be accelerated with help of people, she added. 

Donations can be deposited in Prime Minister’s Relief Fund 2022 Account No.’G-12164’. She said federal government is working in coordination with provinces and resources are being mobilized to extend relief to affected people. Alluding to difficulties being faced in rescue and relief activities due to heavy rains and floods, she said these could be accelerated with help of people.
