Karachi: Muhajir Cultural Day is being celebrated on December 24 today across country particularly in Sindh. Central organizer Zohaib Azam of Muhajir Youth Cabinet addressing press conference regarding Muhajir Cultural Day at Karachi Press Club said that they had decided to celebrate Culture Day in 2020 on completely non-political basis.

He maintained that day is celebrated by youth of Karachi with complete neutrality without any socio-economic benefits, without any political, social and economic support.

Azam said that culture night (Shab-e-Saqqafat) was celebrated at Markarz-e-Islami, Ayesha Manzil on December 23 night. Qawwali and various other programmes have been organised.

On December 24 a grand rally would be taken out from Karimabad to Mazar-e-Quaid in afternoon, Azam said.  He invited people from different walks of life to participate in rally. Central organisers Faiz Ali Khan, Hasan Khan, Umair Maqsudi, Shujaat Qazi and Zahib Khan were present. Meanwhile, ceremony of Muhajir Culture Day was organised by MQM’s Literature Department at Arts Council.
