Shazia says 0.1mln rain-affected families given Rs25,000

KARACHI: Around 100,000 rain-flood-hit families across country has been given Rs 25,000 each following announcement of relief package by federal government. In this regard, on directives of Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Shazia Atta Marri process of disbursement of financial assistance of Rs 25,000 among rain-hit families had started in district Sanghar, said a statement here.

Ten relief camps had been established in various towns and areas of district Sanghar. Two relief camps were set up in Sanghar city and two in Khipro city while a relief camp had been set up each in Sinjhoro, Tando Adam, Kandiari, Jam Nawaz Ali, Berani and Shahdadpur towns.
