‘Open court held to get rid of drug peddlers, addicts’

KARACHI: An open court was organised at Bashir Chowk in which residents, dignitaries and other participated. In open court, SSP District Central Maroof Usman expressed resolve to take stern action against drug peddlers and addicts. He issued instructions to establish police camps at Khamisu Goth Bashir Chowk and Abro Chowk.

SSP Central issued immediate orders to post senior officers at both camps. He informed that without cooperation of people and residents, it is very difficult for police to root out drug dealers and addicts in Khamisu Goth. He asked them to identify drug dealers and criminals and cooperate with police for lodging complaint by contacting officer at police camp. He interacted with people gave instructions to SP New Karachi to resolve their problems immediately and also gave their direct number for any specific information or complaint. Later, SSP District Central instructed Street Crime Force for effective patrolling and operations in Khamisu Goth.
