Ziauddin University observes Youm-e-Tashakur

KARACHI: Ziauddin University organized an event titled "Youm-e-Tashakur" to pay tribute to the valiant sacrifices and undefeated courage of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The event aimed to express gratitude for Pakistan's armed forces' timely and effective response to recent provocations in Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos in response to Indian aggression.

The ceremony served as a reminder of the nation's collective strength and the vital role of the armed forces in securing Pakistan's sovereignty.

The ceremony featured national anthems, emotional tributes, and speeches that reflected the collective pride of the Pakistani nation. Participants, including faculty, students, and management and staff, reiterated their solidarity with the armed forces.

At the event, speakers emphasized that patriotism is not limited to words, it must be shown through unity, discipline, and respect for those who protect the country. The defense of Pakistan is a shared responsibility, and while the armed forces stand on the frontlines, every citizen plays a role in strengthening the country from within. Educational institutions like Ziauddin University aim to create awareness among the youth about the importance of national integrity and responsible citizenship.

While hosting the event, Mr. Amir Shahzad, Deputy General Manager, PR & Communications at Ziauddin University, said, "Our enemy must now think a thousand times before casting an evil eye on Pakistan. The way our armed forces have responded to aggression; with clarity, precision, and strength has sent a strong and undeniable message.

Enemies must know that we are united to respond any aggression. Pakistan is not to be taken lightly, we have brave soldiers to defend out motherland. These recent developments have made it clear that any miscalculation or provocation will be met with a firm and timely response."

Mr. Zulfiqar Umrani, Director of Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) also addressed the audience, adding, "We condemn the baseless propaganda and fake news spread by India in an attempt to damage Pakistan's image. The truth is evident, their disinformation campaign has failed, and Pakistan has once again proven its resolve both on the ground and in the information space."

Mirza Amin ul Haq, Registrar of Ziauddin University, also paid tribute to the brave soldiers of Pakistan and remarked, "The courage and performance of our soldiers is a clear message to the world, Pakistanis have an armed force that will never compromise on the honour and dignity of their nation.

Our soldiers are our pride, and their strength and determination are what keep this country safe and standing tall." The event concluded with a strong message of national unity and support for the armed forces from the academic community of Ziauddin University.
