Academy Whites, DROUTS and Indus Academy win their basketball ties

KARACHI: Several matches were decided in the ongoing 6th Commissioner Karachi Cup Girls and Boys Basketball Tournament being organized by KBBA with the support of New Nazimabad Gymkhana under the patronage of Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon, at the International Abdul Nasser Basketball Court , Aram Bagh. In the girls event, Falcon Club defeated Indus Academy White by 20-26, in the second match, DROUPTS defeated Indus Academy Blues by 23-30 and in the third match, Indus Academy Green defeated Bahria College Karsaz (B) by 21-26 points. In these matches, Kanwal Chishti, Anumta Zavalafiqar, Salarid, Share Bhargari, Yamuna Faraz, Zoya Amraj, Maryam Zahid, Jawaria Zahid, Maryam Zuberi, Mayeza Imran, Zoha Zainab Balu, Zoha, Amama and Menyil showed their best game. 

Assistant Commissioner Aram Bagh Madiha Narejo inaugurated the girls competition while the boys event was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner Aram Bagh M, Saleem Jamali. IIIn boys event, KBBC beat NHS. HOPPER club by 59-84 points, Daniyal Ahmed scored 31 points, Rajkumar Lakhwani scored 30 points and Zain Tanveer scored 19 points on behalf of the winner team, while Hamza Asif scored 18 points, Bilal Hamza scored 16 points and Azir Khan scored 16 points on behalf of the runner team.  In other match, SSS club defeated Arambagh club by 36-42 points, Nihal Hashmi scored 12 points, Mohammad Zakaria scored 10 points and Abeer scored 9 points on behalf of the winner team, while the runner team scored 12 points. Hassan Ali scored 26 points, Abdul Samad scored 5 points and Akmal scored 5 points.
