Arts Council Karachi, Ilm Dost Institute organise ‘3rd Ilm Dost Award 2022’

KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi library committee and Ilm Dost Institute organised ‘Third Ilm Dost Award 2022’ ceremony presided over by Mahmood Sham while Akram Kunjahi was chief guest. Farhana Owais performed duties of moderator. President Arts Council Ahmad Shah, Shabbir Adil, Iqbal Latif, Mir Hussain Ali Imam and Dr. Yasmeen Farooqui spoke.

Mehmood Sham said that we call our country Pakistan of youth, but most of our gatherings are of elderly. Yes, there are many organisations that are trying to keep youth close to knowledge and literacy. Ahmad Shah said that humanity is greatest religion, first of all it is necessary to be good person and we should see how we treat our family and people around us. He said that knowledge you have is greatest capital, if excellence of knowledge is considered respectable, it can lead bringing improvement in society. Adil highlighted excellence of knowledge, his passion and passion is testimony to fact that despite his illness.

Akram Kunjahi said that Arts Council is complete literary, It has become cultural and academic institution. Iqbal Latif said that work started by institution of knowledge should be carried forward so that light of knowledge can spread everywhere.

Shabbir Adil said often he feels process of learning and teaching has stopped somewhere between us. If destination of knowledge is reached, then we should all be tired because only those who are tired reach destination. Knowledge has no destination. Knowledge is work of continuous learning and teaching. Mir Hussain Ali Imam said that work of scholar started three years ago in which writers and poets supported us a lot, scholars and book friends. Our main programs are we have started new research work in which we will also carry out book promotion work. Dr. Yasmeen Farooqi congratulated Ilm Dost organisation which is promoting literacy in this enchanting era and taking practical steps to advance society more than fifty so far through Ilm Dost award. Ilm Dost Award 2022 was presented to participants by Ilm Dost Institute.
