DC Central Taha inaugurates plantation campaign, vows to provide green environment

KARACHI: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Saleem said that all available resources are being used to provide clean and transparent environment to people. Inaugurating plantation drive he said that in order to make central district clean and transparent, as well as to make it greener and greener where cleaning campaign is also being organised at level of Union Committee, planting campaign is also being organised in district. Renovation work of all green belts is being made possible so that every area of central district looks green, clean and transparent. He said that every area of the central district is being cleaned from garbage while plantations are being promoted.

Planting campaign will also continue. He said that they are trying day and night to provide clean and transparent environment to people with limited resources Municipal Commissioner Afaq Saeed, Assistant Commissioner Nazimabad Asim Abbasi, Director Sanitation Zaheer Ahmed, Deputy Director Gardens Nazimabad Asif Hussain, district and local officials of Pakistan People’s Party and number of citizens were present.  Afaq Saeed instructed officers of Sanitation Department to sprinkle after picking up garbage. Later, he started plantation campaign by planting saplings in office of Union Committee No. 6.

He led sanitation and plantation awareness walk along with residents of Union Committee No. 6 so that importance of organising sanitation and plantation campaign. It should be clear that measures are being taken to further improve quality of sanitation in central municipality, while plantation process is also ongoing in central district to reduce air pollution.
