DIG Dr. Maqsood inspects security arrangements at cricket arena

Karachi: DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed visited National Bank Cricket Arena to review security arrangements for Pakistan Super League Edition-8 matches.

According to security plan, around 7,500 personnel have been be deployed for security arrangements. 2,600 personnel of Security Division including 1,000 Special Security Unit (SSU) Commandos and lady commandos, 1,800 personnel of Traffic Police, 600 personnel of Special Branch and personnel of district police are performing security duties along-with personnel from other law enforcement agencies at National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi Airport, hotels and other different locations while sharp shooters have also been deployed at sensitive points.

DIG Security reviewed parking arrangements at China Ground and overall security measures taken for PSL matches. He issued special directions for personnel to be alert and vigilant during matches.
