I congratulate the graduating class of 2024 on this momentous occasion. As we look back at your academic journey, we recognise the example you have set through your academic achievements, determination, and consistent effort demonstrated throughout your time at Ziauddin University.

Your years here have been characterised by dedication and endless efforts in the pursuit of knowledge. You have developed the right mindset, expanded your horizons, and refined your skill set—all essential components of success in the real world.

Not only have you earned the degree, but you have also gained the courage to face challenges and the confidence to grab opportunities that lie ahead. Remember, the legacy of Ziauddin University, exemplified by our accomplished alumni network, stands behind you, providing inspiration and guidance on your path ahead.

You are now a member of the Ziauddin University alumni network, which will offer you invaluable opportunities and support throughout your career.

I hope you will continue to contribute significantly to the fields you have chosen. You are the torchbearers, advocates, and ambassadors for Ziauddin University, a fact that will remain unchanging.

I would like to congratulate the class of 2024 on their graduation this year! This important turning point not only represents your own accomplishment but also highlights the support of everyone who has helped you along the way.

It demonstrates that your alma mater, Ziauddin University, values excellence and character development. I am proud of the remarkable strides that Ziauddin University has taken over the course of this year.

Whether it's championing the cause of nursing, raising awareness about critical issues like mental health and diabetes, celebrating the success of the 25th liver transplant, or engaging in activities that propel advanced technologies forward, the university has been at the forefront of positive change.

By actively participating in activities that drive technological advancements, the university is not only keeping pace with the rapidly evolving world but also contributing to its progress. We focus on cultivating adaptive minds in this modern age.

We develop in you the critical skills to learn, adapt, and innovate so as to prepare you for whatever the future may hold. These qualities are what set us apart from other universities.  I would like to officially welcome you to the Ziauddin University alumni network and hope that you will be an active and integral part of our vibrant community.

Last but not least, even if the path ahead appears challenging, I would advise you to never give up and to pursue your passions. Make the most of your journey, work hard, and watch your dreams come true.

Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have led you to this significant milestone, a testament to both your personal achievements and our collective commitment to excellence.

Over the past year, Ziauddin University has continued to excel, achieving remarkable standings in both national and international rankings. Our dedicated efforts have not only garnered us prestigious positions on global scales but also highlighted our unwavering dedication to research, innovation, and scholarly excellence.

Our vibrant campus life, as exemplified by events like the 2023 Open House, has brought together students, faculty, and the broader community, demonstrating our dynamic educational offerings and commitment to creating opportunities for growth and empowerment.

These accomplishments are a testament to our shared vision and the legacy of Sir Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad, upon whose principles our university was founded. As you stand on the threshold of a new beginning, I encourage you to carry forward this legacy of excellence and innovation. The knowledge and skills you have acquired here are just the starting points for a journey of lifelong learning and discovery.

Sir Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad ‘A True Visionary’

Sir Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad was an eminent educationist, scholar, and visionary of the Sub-continent. He was born in 1873 in Meerut, India. At the age of 12, he passed high school with 1st Division and received Lang Medal along with a government scholarship at M.A.O. Collegiate Aligarh. In 1895, he secured 1st position in BA and received the Coveted Shachey Gold Medal at M.A.O. College, Aligarh.

After completing his BA in Mathematics, Sir Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad was appointed as an Assistant Lecturer at M.A.O. College. He obtained his MA Degree from Calcutta University while securing 1st position, and in 1901, he obtained his DSc degree in mathematics from Allahabad University. For further studies, he enrolled himself at Trinity College at Cambridge University. In 1904, he received the Sir Isaac Newton scholarship, making him the first Indian to receive this honour. Later, in 1906, his thirst for knowledge took him to Gottingen University, Germany, where he completed his PhD in Mathematics.

Sir Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad served the Muslims of the subcontinent, by raising the educational standards of the Muslims and by promoting literacy amongst the Muslim community. He also worked as an Assistant Secretary of Sir Syed Memorial Fund, established for the purpose of founding a Muslim University.

Towards modern education, and after his demise, Dr. Ziauddin played a leading role in the revitalization of Muslim education in the subcontinent. No single individual after Sir Syed did more in the cause of Muslim education than Sir Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad. He was appointed as Pro Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, and later as Vice-Chancellor, in 1935.

Sir Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad died in London on December 23, 1947, and was buried alongside Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in the Aligarh Muslim University mosque grounds, fulfilling his promise to Sir Syed Ahmed Khan to serve Aligarh during his lifetime and beyond.

Dr. Aijaz Fatima Memorial Lectures

Ziauddin University honours the legacy of Dr. Aijaz Fatima, the Founder Trustee of Dr. Ziauddin Hospital, through a thought-provoking lecture series. These lectures aim to raise awareness and contribute to the continual improvement of the healthcare sector.

‘GLIMPSES OF ZIAUDDIN UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES’

Ziauddin University Education City, Link Road

Ziauddin University in Education City is a purpose-built campus located on Link Road that covers approximately 342,449 ft². This campus seamlessly integrates educational facilities with an interactive design aesthetic.

The large open plan facilities and gardens make for an ideal environment, conducive to students' studies. The campus is home to several faculties, including the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering Science, Technology, and Management. These faculties offer students a diverse range of subjects the supervision of highly qualified instructors and state-of-the-art facilities.

These disciplines include Physiology, Biochemistry, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Architecture and Environmental Design, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and many more. With many pre-existing buildings, such as; the Dr. Tajammul Hussain Block, Sardar Yaseen Malik Block, Animal Research & Resource Centre, Cyclotron Building, Ziauddin Animal Hospital Clinics, Cafeteria Area, and Masjid Block, the Bookshop Area Block, Service Building, and Swimming Pool are currently under construction as part of the campus's many future expansion plans.

Dr. Tajammul Hussain Block

Dr.Tajammul Hussain Block (DTHB) is a three-story building that  encompasses the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Architecture and Environmental Design, and the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics.

Sardar Yasin Malik Block

The Sardar Yasin Malik Block (SYMB) is a five-floor building dedicated to both the Ziauddin University Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (ZUFUVAS) and the Ziauddin College of Rehabilitation Science. The SYMB is fully equipped to provide a comprehensive learning environment for faculty and students.

Animal Research & Resource Centre

The Animal Research & Resource Centre is a newly built facility that houses animals and cares for them. The centre is further used to conduct ethical and sustainable research on animal behaviour, bio-genetics and diseases to develop practical applications.

The Bookshop Block

The Bookshop Block at Ziauddin University is currently under construction. The building will feature its own coffee bar and a comfortable waiting area, as well as a wide collection of stationery and books. Here, students will not only access educational materials but also engage in a welcoming environment for study and leisure.

Cyclotron Building

Ziauddin University has installed a cyclotron building to produce diagnostic and therapeutic isotopes. The building stands as a testament to the institution's commitment to advancing medical science.

Ziauddin Animal Hospital Clinics

The Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences recently opened an Animal Hospital, which provides medicine, surgery, obstetrics, and gynaecological services to the livestock / poultry of local farmers. Services in the areas of ultrasonography and radiological imaging will also begin soon. 

Cafeteria

The cafeteria not only provides sustenance to students, but also a safe space for community engagement and connection.

Masjid

An architectural masterpiece, the Masjid Block stands as a significant landmark, embodying spiritual significance on campus.

Ziauddin University Sukkur Campus

The Ziauddin University campus in Sukkur boasts cutting-edge facilities and infrastructure. It covers an impressive area of 1,954,200 ft².

The campus offers Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy programmes. With four Doctor of Physical Therapy batches completed successfully, the campus is now planning to offer additional educational programmes, including Pharm.D. and Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
