Govt, Saylani Trust to work together to empower youth: Chief PM Youth Programme

 KARACHI: Government urged non-profit Saylani Welfare International Trust (SWIT) to be partner in Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. Offer to this effect was extended by Chairman of PM’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, who visited head office of SWIT here. 

Chairman of PM’s Youth Programme acknowledged that SWIT had already been implementing aspirations of present government to brighten future of youth in country. He said government in partnership with Saylani Trust would work to empower Pakistani youth. He told SWIT leadership that it was utmost resolve of government of Pakistan Muslim League to impart proper education and vocational training to youth. He acknowledged that Saylani Trust had already launched such academic and training initiatives. He said services of SWIT would be availed for promotion of education in Information Technology in Punjab. He told SWIT office-bearers that Saylani Trust would be part of Arfa Karim IT project in Punjab. Library adjacent to shrine of Data Ganj Bakhsh in Lahore, which has already been handed over to Saylani Trust will also be used to launch an IT training initiative in partnership with PM’s Youth Programme. Government and Saylani Trust will soon sign memorandum of understanding in this regard. Ran said that he was pleased to meet students enrolled in different training programmes of SWIT enabling them to get proper education, vocational training and superior moral standards.

He said graduates of SWIT’s training initiatives would prove to be good ambassadors of Pakistan whenever they would go abroad for higher education or jobs.  He informed SWIT’s office-bearers that Pakistani youth had been facing hardships in getting visas to visit developed countries because of embarrassing conduct of certain expatriate youngsters abroad as they failed to properly represent Pakistan in other nations. He opined that Pakistan’s progress was guaranteed till sincere and committed non-profits like Saylani Trust were functional in country that had been working to empower Pakistani youth.  He visited classrooms of mass IT training programme of SWIT. He interacted with students and greeted them for choosing viable training initiative.   He was warmly welcomed by SWIT founder Chairman Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri and Chief of education board of Saylani Trust Afzal Chamdia. SWIT CEO Madni Bashir Farooq, Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Ghazzal, Amjad Chamdia and PML-N leader Akhlaq Hashmi were also present.
