FM Bilawal, Iraqi Deputy PM discuss bilateral ties

BAGHDAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dr. Fuad Hussein met here and discussed matters to boost bilateral ties between their countries. Two sides agreed to enhance relations between Pakistan and Iraq in diverse and multidimensional areas including diplomatic ties.

Bilawal arrived in Iraq from Jordan on second leg of his three-day visit. Deputy Foreign Minister Muhammad Hussain Bahr-ul-Uloom, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iraq Ahmed Amjad Ali and senior officials of Embassy received Foreign Minister. During his stay in Iraq, Bilawal will hold meetings with political leadership of country. He will lay foundation-stone of Pakistan Embassy besides visit to Ziaraat. Pakistan and Iraq have resolved to take bilateral ties To new heights and expand cooperation in diverse areas, said Bilawal Bhutto after his meeting with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid.

“We expand cooperation in diverse areas, including sharing expertise on water, agriculture and reinforcing defence cooperation and bilateral trade, tweeted Bilawal.

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto finalised party candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Karachi.

Bilawal Bhutto recommended Murtaza Wahab name for position of Mayor, while Salman Murad will be PPP candidate for Deputy Mayor. In his message on social media platform, twitter, PPP Chairman stated that nominated candidates for mayor will not disappoint people. Bilawal expressed best wishes for all PPP candidates in his message on social platform. He stated that both candidates will work day and night for betterment of Karachi and Hyderabad.
