Governor Sindh lauds NAB's performance in recovering looted funds

Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori expressed satisfaction over the performance of the National Accountability Bureau, aimed at getting rid of corruption and malpractices in society.

In meeting held with DG NAB (Karachi) Javed Akbar Riaz and IGP Sindh Riffat Mukhtar, Tessori stressed the need to spread awareness regarding the menace of corruption which was affecting every sector of society. Patron-in-chief of Saylani Welfare Trust Maulana Bashir Farooqi and Deputy Chairman NAB were also present on the occasion.

Governor Sindh further said that NAB was doing a brilliant job of recovering looted public funds.  In another meeting, Chief Whip in Senate of Pakistan Senator Saleem Mandviwala called on Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori at the Governor House where the overall political situation of the country was discussed.

Madviwalla in talks with Kamran Tessori also stressed light on the economic hardships being faced by the economy, the role of the Senate in legislation of public importance, and other related issues. Governor Sindh highlighted that the current economic situation of the country needs the proper attention of all the concerned stakeholders especially those who can do something beneficial in this regard.

"Pakistan has given us name, fame, and wealth and now the time has come to pay back to our beloved country", Governor added. While lauding the role of the Senate in legislation, Tessori also said that the upper house of parliament has immensely contributed to public-oriented legislation that is benefitting the masses.

During the visit to the Sindh Governor House, Senator Saleem Mandviwala witnessed various initiatives undertaken by the Sindh Governor including the Bell of Hope, IT marquee, and Taqatwar Pakistan ration bags program, and lauded all his public welfare initiatives.

Moreover, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori in another meeting held with Consul General of Italy in Karachi Danilo Giurdanella has said that the diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Italy are being cemented with every passing day as cooperation in various fields is enhancing.

He said that students from Karachi are going to Italy to acquire higher education. "This number is increasing by every passing day due to affordable higher education opportunities in universities of various cities in Italy", he added. Governor Sindh invited investors from Italy to invest in health, education, energy, and agriculture sectors in the economic hub of Pakistan."

The Consul General of Italy appreciated various initiatives of Governor Sindh aimed at resolving the grievances of the masses.
