Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered Imaan Mazari be not arrested in any case after August 20. Petition filed by Imaan Mazari seeking details of cases registered against her came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb here.

Shireen Mazari mother of Imaan Mazari filed petition through lawyer Zainab Janjua on behalf of her daughter. Lawyers Suleman Akram Raja and Qaisar Imam appeared in court from Shireen Mazari side.

Suleman Akram Raja argued we needed not to file petition but situation has become such. In two cases arrest was made and in these two cases she was released on bail. But Imaan Mazari was arrested in third case outside Adiala Jail.

Justice Miangul Ahsanzeb remarked we are passing through very difficult time. Imman Mazari was present in this court. I said to her to control her mother tongue. Imaan assured me but she did not control her tongue.

Counsel Suleman Akram Raja remarked if anyone has committed any offence then court can see it as per law. This case is based on malafide intent.

He requested court to “Tell us how many cases have been registered against us. Arrest of Imaan Mazari in some other case be got stopped. We are not passing through normal situation at present. Orders be issued for not taking Imaan Mazari out of Islamabad in some other case.

Court ordered that Interior Secretary should seek reports from provinces till today that how many cases are registered against Imaan Mazari and inform court.

Court ordered if any case is there against Imaan Mazari in period after August 20 she should not be arrested in that case. Court also ordered not to take Imaan Mazari out of Islamabad till next hearing.

Court ordered Interior Secretary should ensure Imman Mazari is not arrested and taken out of Islamabad.
