Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that despite being economic hub of country, Karachi has been facing numerous issues, no messiah will come to fix this city rather we have to fix this city ourselves. This will be possible only if we heal ourselves instead of healing each other, Governor added that clean, green and green Karachi is my mission.

Addressing HHS Mountain Bike Riding event where Administrator Karachi Dr. Saifur Rehman, organiser Happy Home School, mountain bikers and others were present Governor said that purpose of such event is to attract people towards healthy activities like cycling along with entertainment. He said that participation of mountain bikers from schools as well as colleges and universities is welcome sign. Governor said that introduction of jogging as well as cycling in open spaces like Kidney Hill will provide opportunities for healthy activities for youth. Kamran Tessori said that well-intentioned person installed an administrator after taking charge 8 months ago, after which he took up task of improving green belts and intersections. He laid foundation stone of Bagh Karachi, Pak-China Friendship Park and improved 100 parks and green belts of city under Project 100. Governor said that events of May 9 have made every Pakistani depressed. Targeting buildings of armed forces was shameful.

Meanwhile Governor participated in Italian National Day ceremony. Consul General of Italy Danilo Giurdanella welcomed Governor. Diplomats of different countries were also present in event. Governor discussed with Consul General of Italy issues of mutual interest including bilateral trade and diplomatic relations, increase in mutual trade and promotion of tourism. Governor said that Pakistan-Italy bilateral relations are getting stronger with passage of time, while exchanges of mutual delegations between two countries are increasing. Kamran Tessori said that there are ample investment opportunities in Pakistan in sectors including tourism. Italian investors can benefit by investing in various sectors in economic artery of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Governor participated in event organised by Children of Adam at Governor House. President of Children of Adam Dr. Syed Tariq Ibrahim, CEO Adam Shehzad Safdar, Consul Generals of various countries and well-known industrialists participated in event. Governor said that collection of donations at Governor House for establishment of state-of-the-art hospital for mental diseases from platform of Children of Adam is source of joy for me. He said that Pakistan’s first state-of-the-art mental hospital is being established, establishment of mental hospital in Karachi organised by Children of Adam Pakistan is welcome, this hospital is equipped with modern facilities and machinery.
