Land grabbers will get no place to hide: Tessori

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori warned land and occupation mafias to take their eyes off land of Karachi. “SHOs should be ready to halt any move to occupy land. K-Electric and Sui Southern Gas Company should also mend their way and normalise service to citizens.

He laid foundation stone of Pak China Friendship Park on Kashmir Road to mark Chinese New Year. Foundation of park is aimed at sending message on behalf of citizens of Karachi to citizens of China that Karachiites always want to maintain relationship of love and friendship with people of China.” Acting Consul General of China Zhang Hao, Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman, heads of various departments of KMC and large number of local people were present.

Governor said that foundation stone of park has been laid, adding that after month he will give another park to Karachi. He said that uplift works will be speed up in all areas of Karachi. He said that construction work of Aladeen Park is going on where there were hundreds of tonnes of debris and garbage. He said that at other corner of Kashmir Road, there was an illegal hydrant from where water was leaking, adding that it was removed.

Tessori said that all barren areas will be given attention in coming days and he is trying hard to improve infrastructure of Karachi. In response to question, Governor said that rigging is not visible in local body elections, but turnout has been very low

Jing Hao said that Pak-China friendship is strong and hoped to strengthen it. He said that it is China’s policy to maintain good relations with world and especially with neighbouring countries.

He said that China’s relations with Pakistan are ideal and there are good memories associated with it. He said that naming this park after China is matter of happiness for all of us. Jing Hao said that two cities of China, Beijing and Shanghai are twin cities of Karachi, which prove that Pakistan and China are good and compassionate friends of each other. Sindh Governor and Jing Hao planted sapling and unveiled plaque.

Meanwhile, Tesori visited Memon Masjid Musalhuddin Garden (Khori Garden). Ameer Jamaat Ahlus Sunnat Shah Abdul Haq Qadri welcomed him. Governor placed flowers at shrine of Hazrat Allama Hafiz Qari Muslehuddin Siddiqui Qadri and offered fateha and prayed for safety and prosperity of country. Shah Abdul Haq informed Governor in detail about Masjid and madaras of city under Jamaat Ahlesunnat.

Governor said that coming here gave me peace of mind and heart. He visited shrine of Allama Hafiz Qari Muslehuddin Siddiqui Qadri. In response to question, he said that IG Sindh is very well-intentioned person, he has full authority and he should use authority.
