KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader Syed Mustafa Kamal said that his party has many options including sitting in opposition.

Speaking at private TV channel, Mustafa Kamal said that MQM-P has drafted constitutional amendments for getting rights of people of Pakistan.

“MQM-P would support one who accepts constitutional amendments,” he added. He said that party did not have any contact with Pakistan Peoples’ Party related to government formation after general elections 2024.

He said that after 18th constitutional amendment, powers were accumulated in Chief Minister’s House and could not be devolved at grassroots level.

“Our constitutional amendments are in favour of entire country, not just Karachi,” Mustafa Kamal added.

He said that in meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leadership, matters related to government formation were not discussed.
