KARACHI: The draw meeting for the National Women's Basketball Championship Karachi 2023 was held here on Saturday at the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) head office.

KBBA President Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Coordinator National Championship Malik Mutahir, WAPDA’s Muhammad Khalid Yusuf, PBBF Member Referee Board Pakistan Saadat Jahangir Khan, Syed Modood Jafri, Naveed Baig and others also participated.

On the occasion, the Pakistan Basketball Federation Secretary General Khalid Basheer thanked Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon on behalf of PBBF for accepting the responsibility of organizing such a high national women's basketball championship. He said that Commisioner is knowns as a sports lover and a keen supporter of sports, under his dynamic leadership all sports especially basketball are progressing well, I hope he will organize this event in a trend setting style with his vision and dedication.

He also appreciated the efforts and hard work of KBBA President Ghulam Muhammad Khan who has taken the game of basketball to new heights in Karachi. "His contribution to the sport is unparalleled and he deserves due credit and reward for it.

The KBBA President Ghulam Muhammad Khan thanked the PBBF for organizing the national event and the Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Memon on the occasion.

He added that total 12 teams are participating in national championship while WAPDA team is the defending champion.
