Pakistan, Malaysia strengthen ties through cultural exchange, cuisine

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has praised strong and cordial relations between Pakistan and Malaysia, citing two countries’ progress in trade, culture and tourism.

As guest of honour at culinary exhibition hosted by Consumer Association of Pakistan and Malaysian Consulate, Tessori said that Islamic bond between two nations fosters harmony on key issues. Event attended by dignitaries including Malaysian Consul General Herman Ahmed and Chairman of Consumer Association of Pakistan Kukab Iqbal, aimed to showcase talents of various chefs. Exhibition featured diverse range of Pakistani and Malaysian cuisine, highlighting shared flavors and traditions of two countries.

Tessori commended organisers for hosting an exceptional event, saying it would help bring people of Pakistan and Malaysia closer together. He expressed confidence that Consul General would play vital role in enhancing cooperation between two nations.

Herman Ahmed expressed his delight at seeing Pakistani community in Karachi, emphasising strong bond between two nations despite their physical differences. He acknowledged importance of strong and stable relationship between Pakistan and Malaysia for regional prosperity. Event concluded with cultural showcase featuring artists from Pakistan’s four provinces and Malaysia, followed by dinner reception.
