Pakistan pull of record run chase to edge South Africa in first WT20I

Karachi: Pakistan pulled off record run chase in their Women's T20I history to claim five-wicket win over South Africa in thrilling series opener, according to reports reached here, Set to chase 151, Pakistan Women accumulated 151 for loss of five wickets on last delivery, courtesy of nerve-wracking boundary by Aliya Riaz.

Batting first, South Africa Women scored 150-3 on back of opener Tazmin Brits' half-century. Opener hit nine fours and six on her way to 64-ball 78. She put on an 85-run opening partnership with Captain Laura Wolvaardt. Latter scored 44 off 38 deliveries. Her knock included six boundaries.

Pacer Fatima Sana along with pacers Sadia Iqbal and Nashra Sandhu each took wicket. Pakistan Women successfully chased 151-run target on last delivery of game.
