PCB announces prize money for Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the prize money for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25, which is set to begin on October 26. Total of Rs 12.6 million will be distributed, with tournament winners taking home Rs 7.5 million, while the runners-up will receive Rs4 million, according to a PCB statement on Wednesday.

The opening match will feature defending champions Karachi Region Whites against Peshawar Region at Ashfaq Ground in Charsadda. The prestigious first-class tournament will include 18 teams from 16 regions, divided into three groups. The top team from each group will progress to the triangular stage.

During the triangular stage, each of the three group winners will play two matches, with the top two teams advancing to the final, scheduled from December 14 to 18. Venues for the triangular stage and the final will be confirmed shortly. The tournament will be held across six cities-Abbottabad, Charsadda, Gujranwala, Islamabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi-featuring 45 group matches.
