Qureshi arrested, shifted to unknown destination

RAWALPINDI: Punjab police has taken PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi into its custody and shifted him to some unknown destination soon after his release.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi was released in cipher case following acceptance of his bail plea by Supreme Court (SC). However he was taken into custody by Rawalpindi police soon after he came out of jail and was shifted to some unknown destination in armored vehicle.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi while standing on armored vehicle said in his address on occasion, “I was released by Supreme Court. Arresting me again is injustice. I am being punished for serving nation.”

It is being told that Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been detained. Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi issued arrest order of Shah Mehmood Qureshi.  It has been said in DC orders in this regard Shah Mehmood Qureshi is nominated in May 9 incidents. Investigation is needed from former Foreign Minister. Therefore, Shah Mehmood Qureshi is being detained for this reason.
