‘Student Article Competition’: carbon credit market & plants for prosperity

‘SAU collaborates with HOOPO Canada, Amity Global Foundation’

KARACHI: Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam in collaboration with HOOPO, Canadian organisation concluded student article writing competition aimed at enriching students’ writing skills and deepening their understanding of ‘Carbon Credit Market and Plants for Prosperity Project’ objectives.

Competition garnered an overwhelming response from SAU Tandojam students, with total of 39 articles submitted. After thorough evaluation process, winners were announced and honoured at ceremony held at Faculty of Crop Protection.

Aneeta Lashari, post-graduate student of Faculty of Crop Protection clinched first position, Ayaz Ali Hajano an undergraduate student of same faculty securing second position and Muzafaruddin Chachar also post-graduate student of Faculty of Crop Protection secured third position.

Cash prizes and certificates were presented to winners by Amity Global Foundation, Canada. Professor Dr. Manzoor Ali Abro, Dean Faculty of Crop Protection. Saad Hasnain COO of Amity Global Foundation Canada was also present.

Dr. Manzoor Ali Abro applauded HOOPO’s efforts against carbon and emphasised significance of collaboration with international organisations in providing opportunities for students’ academic growth and development.

Dr. Abdul Waheed Solangi Focal Person of HOOPO Canada, Dr. Mehar ul Nissa Raees an Agricultural Economist, faculty members and students from various disciplines highlighted competition’s importance in fostering academic excellence.
