Sindh Gov Tessori inaugurates Zaitoon Ashraf IT Park

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori inaugurated Zaitoon Ashraf IT Park, established under administration of Saylani Welfare Trust. Park is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, marking another significant achievement in field of information technology for Trust.

Prominent figures including founder of Saylani Welfare Trust Maulana Bashir Farooq, foreign diplomats, particularly Consul Generals from Bahrain, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Japan, Indonesia, and Deputy Consul General of Iran. Business leaders and other notable personalities of city were present.

Tessori commended Saylani Welfare Trust for its milestone in establishing IT Park, recognizing it as major step forward in information technology sector. He highlighted importance of providing advanced and high-quality education in IT to youth, emphasising that goal is to generate foreign exchange. He said that government is actively encouraging IT programmes initiated by private sector and non-profit organisations.

He stressed growing importance of telecommunications and information technology in today's world. He reflected on significance of 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, when his official notification as Governor was issued, which he considered a great honour.

Additionally, Governor shared that draft envisioning future of Pakistan by 2040 has been formulated with consultation from all relevant stakeholders. This draft will be presented at mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on December 25, detailing objectives for increasing investment, trade and business activities while addressing shortcomings in various sectors.

He reiterated his commitment to transforming entire province into hub for IT, making it his mission to achieve this goal. In response to question, he remarked that Afghan diplomat should have adhered to diplomatic etiquette and that failing to respect national anthem of benefactor country was an inappropriate action.
