Karachi: A joint JIT of operation and investigation was held at SSP District Central Office, headed by  SSP District Central Maroof Usman and SP Investigation Central Shehla Qureshi, DPP was also present in JIT meeting. During the meeting, SSOIUs and litigants of GBV cases were also invited to JIT and heard in detail.

During JIT, instructions were issued to concerned SHOs and SIOs. A fter hearing plaintiffs in cases, the concerned officials were directed to take personal interest and dispose of such cases on merit by removing every kind of obstacles that comes in way of investigation. In light of Anti-Rape Ordinance 2021, establishment of Anti-Rape Cell in District Central was also implemented in JIT. Moreover, DSP District Central, SHOs and SIOs were also directed to complete investigation of rape cases efficiently through a collaborative strategy.
