Tessori inaugurates Mother Care Ward, Ultrasound Unit at Sobhraj Hospital

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that five-year plan should be prepared for Karachi, which will reveal how Karachi will be in next five years. “Once there was stone age, today there are stone people,” he expressed these views while inaugurating Mother Care Ward and renovated Ultrasound Unit at Sobhraj Maternity Hospital.

Administrator Karachi Dr Syed Saifur Rehman, senior Director Medical Services Dr Nadeem Asif, MS Sobhraj Hospital Dr Hooria and number of concerned officers, doctors and paramedical staff were present.

Governor said that doctors do their part and service rendered by them in time of Covid-19 is admirable, he said that together we all have to change situation.

Talking to media representatives, in response to question that protest is done for rights of people he said that it is right of every political party to raise their voice and speak in Assembly to resolve problems of people. Tessori said that he opened Gate No. 4 of Governor House, every person belonging to Karachi and Sindh can register their complaint with complaint cell.

These complaints are registered on phone number 1366. All utility service providers Institutional representatives are present here and try to take action within 15 minutes of registering complaint.

“I myself will sit in complaint cell in morning and listen to complaints of citizens,” he added.

Tessori said that rulers do not know how person who gets salary of Rs 25,000 supports his family and what problems he faces. He said that now is not time for politics.

Syed Saifur Rahman said that efforts are being made to upgrade hospitals managed by KMC and today mother care unit and ultrasound were inaugurated in Sobhraj Maternity Hospital with support of UNESCO. Dr. Nadeem Asif MS Sobhraj Dr. Houria and Hashim Shaikh also spoke.

Meanwhile, Governor visited shrine of Hazrat Alam Shah Bukhari and placed flowers on shrine, offered fateha and prayed for safety and prosperity of country. Governor inquired about problems being faced by people there.  On other hand, Tessori met Karachi Gymkhana delegation at Governor House. Measures of construction and development of Karachi and consultation with all stakeholders in this regard were discussed.

Moreover, Consul General of France Alexis Chahtatubsky and Tessori discussed bilateral relations, investment and increase in mutual trade and other issues in a meeting

Consul General said that French companies are working in Pakistan, making French cars manufactured in Karachi, adding that French investors are interested in investing in various sectors.

Well-known Saudi businessman Mazin M. Al Moallim discussed bilateral trade, exchange of delegations, investment in province and other issues with Tessori on his visit to Governor House.
