UBL expands on its literary awards with its tenth edition

Karachi: Tenth UBL Literature and Arts Awards was held here attended by media, socialites, literati and celebs. UBL Literature Awards announced to give out awards for excellence in music, acting, singing, etc. in future. It introduced category of drama script. President UBL Shahzad Dada presented award to inimitable Anwar Maqsood.

Award recipients include Mehmod Ahmer Qazi, Ahmed Saleem, Sabir Zafar, Saeed Naqvi, Tasneem Jaffery, Muhammad Shoaib, Irfan Shahoor, Khalid Kunjhaar, Qazi Ali Abul Hasan, Fasi Bari Khan, Iftikhar H. Malik and in English Children’s Literature Osman Haneef. Khalid Malik and Yasra Rizvi commenced with video presentation: Celebrating 10 Years of UBL Literary Awards, followed by UBL President Shazad G. Dada’s address. Jury members in Urdu categories included Dr Asghar Nadeem Syed, Dr Arfa Syeda, Dr Anwaar Ahmed, Kishwar Naheed and Dr Nasir Abbas Nayyar, while jury members for English categories included Ghazi Salahuddin and Muneeza Shamsie. 

Work presented by Dr Anwaar Ahmad, Faisal Qureshi, Tawasul Shah, Khushbakht Shujat,  Ahmed Shah, Azhar Hussain Azmi, Mohib Mirza, Dr Noor ul Huda Shah. Zeeshan Mehboob, Nazis, Kaif Ghaznavi, Tina Sani and Pirzada Qasim and Shakeel Adilzada.
