Alhamdulillah, and all perfect thanks and praises are due to the Almighty Allah, who has brought down the Qur’an. I send peace and blessings upon whom the Qur’an was descended upon, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his household, his companions and all those who follow his guided path till judgement day. It’s the duty of every Muslim to understand the Quran, it will be a proof of our faith in Allah on the Day of Judgment, our status in this life before Allah will be higher than if we don’t read the Quran, and our position in Paradise is even higher for each letter of the Quran that we read!

Reciting the Quran daily holds excellent rewards for the person who recites it. Even reciting a single letter of the Quran carries a great reward. Yes! You read it right, not one surah, not one ayat, not one word, the award will be given to you for the recitation of each letter from the Quran’s verses.

Sayyidatina Aisha R.A reported,” Whoever recites a letter from Allah’s Book, then he receives the reward from it and the award of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter.”

In this article we will highlights the main reasons why you should recite the Quran daily.

The importance of reading the Quran and regular Qur’an recitation in daily life is immense. Every Muslim recites the Qur’an for the sake of Allah the Almighty. By establishing a deep relationship with the Quran, every Muslim should have a strong connection to it. This can only happen if you recite a section of the Quran every day. Indeed, there is various Importance of reading the Quran in Our life.

It is important that we remind ourselves and our kids of this message on a daily basis. There is much that we do not know and much we need to learn and reading the Quran on a daily basis helps us to cover much of what we don’t know of Islam.

There is no doubt that every person will go through times in their life where they might feel empty, confused, depressed, unsure why they exist and yearning to understand what is their place and purpose in this life. We were not born knowing exactly how to live, but it is an absolute miracle that we were all given an instruction manual to guide us on our journey of existence and help us to fill those voids deep within our hearts. So now you might be wondering what is this manual? Where can i get it from? Who wrote it? And you might actually be SO eager to find out more. Let me tell you,  that this instruction manual, it is the TOP MOST POPULAR book in the world, not by chance or coincidence! This book, it REALLY TRULY is a Miracle! It is the HOLY QURAN and it is the PURE, NCHANGED message that God sent to help us navigate through life!

Reasons to read it daily:

* Reward:

The prophet of Allah Muhammad (S.A.W) mentioned that reading the Quran gains you reward. A hadith in Al-Tirmizi says “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten.’’ Therefore, reading the Quran will gain you and your children rewards if you recite the Quran on a daily basis.

* Understand your purpose of existence:

If you ever find yourself questioning your existence or you want answers about what your purpose is in this life, The Quran is the only book in the world which will give you the true answers to these questions. The Quran will give your insight into how to live with a purpose to Serve God the Almighty and many verses speak about the origins of existence, how the earth was created, how the human was formed and the sacredness of life and human existence.

Allah SWT tells us about the purpose of our lives.

“He created death and life to test you as to which of you is best in deed.” (67:2)

“I have created the jinn and humankind only for my worship.” (51:56)

* Your status in this life will be raised:

In Saheeh Muslim, we find how ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab, understood this principle: Some men came to question him during his khilaafah about the leadership of Makkah.

They asked, “Who do you use to govern Makkah?”

He said, “Ibn Abzaa.” They asked, “And who is Ibn Abzaa?”

Umar replied, “A freed slave from those we freed.”

They remarked, “You left a freed slave in charge of the people of the Valley (the noble tribes of the Quraysh)!?!?”

So he answered them,

Verily he is a reader of the Book of Allah and is knowledgeable about the obligations of the Muslims. Haven’t you heard the statement of your Messenger: “Verily Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it?

* It removes the Illnesses from our Hearts and Cures our Bodies, and for Mercy to Envelope us:

Recitation of the Quran regularly, would purify one’s heart from evil and jealousy, and implement a sense of brotherhood and mercy in the believer’s heart. Achievement of inner peace is guaranteed if one recites the Quran regularly, which would increase the love of humanity in one’s heart. This process would help one show mercy to others and receive the same response, making life more comfortable.

Allah says in Surah Al-Israa’ [17:82] {we send the Quran as healing and mercy for those who believe}.

* To Increase our Iman:

Allah says in Surah At-Tawbah [9:124] {And when a surah is revealed, some of them ask, “Which of you did this increase him in Iman?”. As for the ones who believe, it increased them in Iman, and they rejoice}.

Iman is Islamic theology denotes a believer’s faith in the metaphysical aspects of Islam. Its most simple definition is the belief in the six articles of faith, known as arkan al-iman. Dealienation of the term iman, is done in both the Quran and Hadith. Reciting the Quran regularly shows that any person can strengthen their faith, which would let them through Paradise. If you memorize Quran then it will be very beneficial for you on judgmental days.

* To be a reason for Allah to make us from His people:

The Prophet (SAW) said, “Allah has His people (from the creation).” The Sahaba asked, “Who are they?” He (SAW) replied, “They are the people of the Quran. They are Allah’s people and His close ones” [Declared Sahih by Al-Albanee].

Hence reciting the Quran every day will make you closer to Allah and one of His people.

* Reading the Quran Protects You from All Sorts of Evil:

Yes, indeed. Reading the Quran protects you from the devil you know and the devil you don’t know. The evil you’ve heard of and the evil you’ve never heard of. The evil that is near to you and the darkness that is far from you. The visible evil and invisible evil. Also, reading the Quran creates a shield around you. All those sorts of sins can’t penetrate this shield. Protection from all these types of evils, you earn peace and tranquility.

* Reciting Quran is an Act of Worship:

Allah says in Surah Al-Muzzamil [73:4] {And recite the Quran}.

After reading all of this, have you ever asked yourself what your reason or intention is when reading the Quran? And will you carry on constraining it to just one aim only? Hence we should all recite Quran daily, taking it as an act of worship to Allah.

* Reciting Quran heals spiritually and physically:

Listening to and reciting the Quran every day helps one to have a speedy recovery when suffering from loss or pain. Moreover, it helps to refrain from sins and provides spiritual enlightenment. And it’s the best alternative to listening to music, and one can spend that time in recitation of the Quran.

Final Words

Quran is the 4th and last sacred Holy Book of Almighty Allah. Quran is the Book of guidance for the whole of humanity. Revelation on our beloved Prophet (SAW), the last Prophet of Allah Almighty. Quran is the Divine book towards which Muslims turn when there is any problem because the Quran has the solution to every problem, and it is guidance for every aspect of life.

Allah Almighty said about Quran: “This is the Book (the Quran), of which there is no doubt, guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqoon [the pious]” (Quran, 2:2).
