Karachi: Administrator DMC East Syed Shakeel Ahmed suspended officials of B&R Department on illegal road cutting while three-member committee has been formed for inquiry in this regard.

During visit to SMCHS he expressed anger over illegal road cutting and reprimanded officers. During visit to PIB he monitored road carpeting work and ordered officers to remove encroachments around roads and submit report.

He said that every department should play its role in provision of municipal services, negligence will not be tolerated in this regard, it is joint responsibility of all of us to provide facilities to residents of District East. Officials should play their role in provision of services.

Superintending Engineer M&E Mubeen Sheikh, senior Executive Engineer Imtiaz Bhutto, Executive Engineer B&R Jamal Abbas, Deputy Director DM Irshad Ali were present.
