Backward, hilly areas to be provided solar-electricity soon: Nasir Shah

Karachi: Sindh Minister for Energy, Planning and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that most backward families of rural, hilly and desert areas are still deprived of all types of electricity.

All such areas will be supplied with electricity by providing solar panels soon, in this regard Energy Department has started taking measures under manifesto and vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. PPP government believes not only in claims rather it believes in practical measures.

Talking to media he said that there is also plan to build solar parks at different places in Sindh, of which 50 MG of electricity generated from solar park to be installed near Karachi and will be given to people living without power.

Similarly, electricity facilities will also be provided to people of respective areas through HESCO and SEPCO. Lot of work has been done on generating electricity from waste and it will be implemented soon. He said that upcoming budget is being prepared under 10-point agenda of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s manifesto and under manifesto, 300 units of free electricity will be provided to public through solarisation process.

In area of kacha, police saved lives of hundreds of people and taking measures against dacoits. He emphasised media should report positively on initiatives of Sindh government and police and highlight such initiatives. For safety of people, pickets were placed before caretaker government and those coming from outside were questioned as to where and why they had come. PPP government has started this process again and various measures are being taken to protect people.  Chief Minister taking practical steps on special instructions of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari so that people’s lives can be secured.

Nasir Shah said that we are very hopeful of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, as he has given revolutionary decisions, especially regarding judicial murder of Bhutto Shaheed. He said that success of Aseefa Bhutto is being deliberately made controversial even though Asif Ali Zardari won from seat with 140 thousand votes.   Hafiz Naeem should also come to assembly, we have government in Balochistan and Sindh. Chairman will implement ten-point programme in both provinces.
