Karachi: Newly elected President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iftikhar Ahmed Sheikh met Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori at Governor House. Governor congratulated Iftikhar Ahmed on being elected as President of country’s largest chamber. In meeting, overall economic situation of country, problems being faced by industries, role of business community in economic development and other matters of mutual interest were discussed. Governor said that Karachi Chamber is most important organisation of business community, its members hold an important position in country’s economy. Kamran Tessori said that it is hoped that under your patronage this institution will achieve development and prosperity.

Iftikhar Ahmed thanked Governor for his good wishes, adding that business community is with him in exemplary welfare initiatives of Governor.

Meanwhile, Kamran Tessori condemned Israeli attack on house of Al Jazeera Television SNG Engineer Abul Qasam. He said that targeting of innocent people is proof of Israel’s brutality. He said that international community should take immediate notice of Israel’s increasing war atrocities.

Moreover, newly elected President of Association of Builders and Developers Asif Sim Sim met Governor. Governor congratulated Asif Sim on being elected as head of association of construction industry. Issues being faced by construction industry, construction of low-cost housing units in city and matters of mutual interest were discussed. Governor said that millions of people are employed in construction industry, steps are being taken to solve problems faced by construction sector. Kamran Tessori said that better communication between people associated with construction department and Sindh Building Control Authority will help in solving problems.
