Caretaker govt, IMF talks to take place next month

ISLAMABAD: Negotiation between caretaker government and IMF will take place next month. Authorities said that circular debt will be focus of first contact negotiations with caretaker government.

Negotiation will be held on new plan to reduce circular debt of gas sector. Virtual conversation took place in this regard last evening.

Finance Ministry authorities have started giving circular debt repayment plan. IMF has asked for more details on government plan in this regard. Dr Shamshad will brief on loan repayment scheme. After this repayment of loan of Rs 400 billion, payment of 900 million dollars is likely to be made to caretaker government. After this payment, circular debt of this sector will stand at Rs 1,200 billion.
