KARACHI: Caretaker Provincial Information Minister, Minorities Affairs and Social protection President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmad Shah paid his first visit to the Press Club after oath taking.

At this occasion he said that Karachi Press Club is one of the distinctive press clubs in the world. It combats with the aggressive force with bravery. He emphasized that the journalists will not have to take an appointment with the Information Minister's PA. My relation with Karachi Press Club is old, I sit in this club at my spare time and this will continue even now. He expressed these views while talking to the media at Karachi Press Club. Earlier, Press Club Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Khan and President Press Club of Karachi Saeed Sarbazi addressed and said that Ahmed Shah has a long relationship with Karachi Press Club and this relationship has become stronger with time.

The problem of plots of journalist will be solved. Ahmed Shah further said that the work on ongoing projects in the province will be accelerated. He said that not to be offended by the media's criticism of the government, the media provides guidance and points out mistakes. He said that measures will be taken for the treatment of sick journalists including journalist Ajmal Khattak and the chief minister will be requested to give priority to the problems of journalists. He said that the press club will be my center and solve the problems in consultation with my journalist friends. The provincial information minister said that I will meet the officials in the media houses and discuss the problems of working journalists. I was told that there are arrears towards the Government of Sindh and their payment will be subject to the condition that they will pay the arrears of the journalists. He further said that workshops will be organized in the Arts Council for the training of journalists
