KARACHI: Chinese Consulate in Karachi organised an event to honour contribution of journalists and their role for strengthening China and Pakistan relationship by means of right reporting and positive projection across globe.

Consul General of China Yang Yundong awarded souvenirs to journalists in Karachi belonging to top-notch media outlets. In ceremony to praise contribution of media fraternity, Chinese CG Yang Yundong appreciated role of journalists for projecting positive perception of China on different matters both regional and international.

Yundong highlighted China’s phenomenal progress in recnet years and also stressed light on 2024 plan related to enormous development.

Chinese CG said that China-Pakistan enjoys cordial bond since decades and this friendship is everlasting. Two countries have maintained close high-level exchanges with President Xi Jinping meeting interim Prime Minister Kakar, reaching important consensus on deepening all-weather strategic cooperation between China and Pakistan, advancing construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and accelerating establishment of closer China-Pakistan community of shared future in new era.

Daily National Courier Editor-in-Chief Aneel Ahmed Usmani was also among award recipients. It must be mentioned here that year 2023 marks tenth anniversary of initiation of CPEC and magnanimous initiative of Belt and Road project.

It can be rightly said indubitably that CPEC’s significant contribution will help Pakistan in creating large number of employment opportunities, attracting of foreign investments and last but not least, improvement in standard of living of people.
