Commissioner interacts with religious scholars alongwith DC Central, inspects civic work

Karachi: Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Iqbal Memon along with Deputy Commissioner and Administrator Central District Taha Saleem visited different areas of District to take stock of Eid-Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH)’s arrangements.

Commissioner inspected cleanliness, maintenance of roads and lighting arrangements around various masajid and imambargahs and met with religious scholars and organisers in connection with civic facilities being provided.

Taha Saleem talking to media representatives said that district administration took possible steps within its resources to ensure civic facilities. He said that in order to provide better social and urban environment people are supporting development projects and welfare works besides cooperation of provincial and city administration and local bodies is also sought. 

In order to suppress criminal activities efforts are being taken. Civic institutions including SBCA, KDA, KMC, DMC and district administration with mutual cooperation carryin g out development projects in district. Construction and repair of dilapidated roads, parks and of other civic facilities is underway, he added. He said with media representatives in relation to suppression of crimes, various agencies of central district are playing their role in elimination of encroachments along with completion of projects for rehabilitation of playgrounds and improvement of educational institutions.  Areas including buffer zone, 7D-2 North Nazimabad, Federal B Area Block 19, Hussainabad Liaquatabad, Musa Colony and Mujahid Colony are cleared from encroachments with help of Sindh Building Control Authority, KDA and KMC.
