DC Central visits Liaquatabad, issues orders for resolving civic issues

Karachi: Deputy Commissioner and Administrator District Central Taha Saleem visited different areas of Liaquatabad yesterday. Officials of Sindh Solid Waste Management Board and Karachi Water and Sewerage Board were also accompanied him on visit. Residents of area lodged complaints regarding sanitation, rain related issues and breaking out tropical ailments including malaria and Dengue fever.

Taha listened complaints with patience and expressed his dismay over poor civic conditions in area. He directed officials of district to take immediate steps for resolving civic issues in area.

Resident told him that for last five months Liaquatabad No. 1, 2 and 4 is experiencing worst sewage system while infrastructure is in disarray. They informed that streets and roads are flooded with dirty water and that caused ailments.

Deputy Commissioner showing his indignation over poor condition of sewage and other civic issues directed officials to improve situation within a week. Area people appreciated on spot directives by DC Taha and expressed confidence that soon ara would be cleared from civic problems.
