ISLAMABAD: Former Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Kanwar Dilshad said that interim Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi as focal person of government had rightly stated that general public should not give any attention to rumors.

As far as elections were concerned ECP was determined to conduct elections within specified time, he said while taking part in Radio Pakistan programme.

He said although, Senate resolution for delay in elections was passed elections seem to be conducted on February 8 as per timeline given by Supreme Court of Pakistan. He said that maintaining law and order situation in country during elections was responsibility of caretaker governments in federal and provinces. He said special arrangements will be made at more sensitive polling stations.
