ISLAMABAD: Airlines including PIA are facing difficulty in planning Hajj flight operations as Ministry of Religious Affairs failed to decide on quota of intending Hajj pilgrims. Reportedly, government has received fewer applications from intending Hajj pilgrims than country’s quota allocated by Saudi government for first time in Pakistan’s history.

Ministry of Religious Affairs has not yet informed airlines about number of expected pilgrims because it has received less applications, sources claimed. Airlines are facing difficulties in preparing final plan for Hajj flight operation due to non-receipt of data. These airlines including national airline PIA are awaiting details from ministry regarding Hajj flight operations.
