Rotary Club shines spotlight on ‘Environmental Action’ at Installation event

Karachi:  The Rotary Club of Karachi Environment held its prestigious Installation Event at the historical Frere Hall Park.

The event, adorned with an extravagant all-white decor, brought together esteemed guests, dignitaries, and senior Rotarians in a celebration of environmental stewardship and community service. Under the distinguished leadership of President Abdullah Rafi, Vice President Kafeel Hussain, and General Secretary Erum Khan, the Rotary Club of Karachi Environment showcased its unwavering commitment to environmental action and sustainability. The event commenced with a captivating program highlighting the critical importance of environmental action in addressing pressing issues such as Climate Change, global warming and heatwaves, particularly in Karachi, Pakistan. President Abdullah Rafi, Vice President Kafeel Hussain, and General Secretary Erum Khan delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing Rotary's role in driving positive change and promoting sustainable practices.  

President Abdullah Rafi emphasized the significance of the Kidney Hill Plantation project, showcasing the power of collective action in environmental conservation. He expressed optimism for a greener future and called for collaboration and innovation to overcome challenges.  The Vice President Kafeel Hussain emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity for a sustainable future, stressing the club's mission to preserve natural and cultural heritage and empower future generations.  Guest of Honor, Barrister Shahida Jameel, graced the occasion with her insightful remarks on the significance of collective efforts in environmental conservation. The event was further illuminated by the distinguished presence of Council General of Oman, Sami Abdullah Al Khanjari, and the Iranian Vice Council General, among other dignitaries.
