IG Sindh briefs Gov Tessori on law, order situation, steps controlling street crimes

Karachi: IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon briefed Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori on law and order situation, measures to control street crimes. In meeting, skills enhancement of police force, community policing and other issues were discussed. Governor said that effective use of CCTV cameras should be ensured adding that increasing community policing is need of hour.

Tesori said that police is playing significant role in establishing peace while citizens' concern about street crimes in Karachi is valid. Meanwhile, Governor visited Korangi No. 6 Market to take stock of issues of market area and traders as well.

This will create trust between government and people, Tessori said. Shopkeepers welcomed Governor. Area people and traders expressed their respective issues on which Tessori assured then of resolution. Governor inquired about prices of various items from shopkeepers and also inquired about availability of commodities in market. Tessori said he will continue to visit people and traders as such visits bring harmony between parties.
