JI to hold Gaza March on Eid-ul-Fitr

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami announced to carry out ‘Gaza March’ in Islamabad on eve of Eid-ul-Fitr to express solidarity with oppressed people of Palestine. In statement, JI spokesperson requested masses to join march. He asked people of to offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayer at Faisal Masjid with Palestinian flag.

“After Eid prayer in Faisal Masjid, solidarity will be expressed with people of Palestine and protest against Israel,” JI spokesman said.

Earlier on March 10, JI announced to carry out million march toward United States Embassy on 27th of Ramadhan to express solidarity with oppressed people of Palestine. Addressing Gaza Solidarity March in Islamabad, JI then Ameer Sirajul Haq said that Organisation of Islamic Cooperation has also failed to play its due role for Palestinians and just is restricted to statements only.

“Our Parliament also passed ineffective resolutions and now lawmakers don’t even talk about situation of Gaza,” he added.
